Additional Uniden DCX300 DECT 6.0 Accessory Handset and Charging Cradle for the DECT2000/DECT 3000 Series Phones Information
|
The Uniden DCX300 acts as an extra accessory handset and cradle for the Uniden DECT2000 and 3080 series expandable cordless telephone systems. WFi-friendly, it offers an interference free cordless frequency with a 1.9 GHZ range for clear voice reception, and brilliant sound. The DCX300 is also remarkably easy to use, thanks to the English and Spanish language menu prompts and a back-lit keypad that lets you quickly enter phone numbers or access features in all kinds of light conditions. Additionally, the large, easy-to-read LCD screen on the handset displays the date, time, extension and other important data, so you can stay on-track. This system is also compatible with caller-ID and call-waiting displays for up to 30 number histories, which means you won't need to hunt for a number before returning an important call. And the advanced phonebook feature stores up to 70 phone book locations, giving you the ability to store and access all your most often called numbers. You can even assign unique ringers to different calling parties so you'll know who's on the line the minute the phone rings. The DCX300 utilizes DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology that's suited to voice, data and networking applications with a cordless range of up to 1600 feet away from the phone base. This system also allows for three-way conference calling--a great option for making long-distance calls to family members or for small office teleconferences--and you can also quickly transfer calls between handsets. And a light on the handset immediately alerts you when you have a new message.

I was looking for additional handsets for my DECT2080-2 base unit and came across the DCX300. Things I like: - Extra ringers compared to DCX150, DCX200, or DCX210 - Pairs right up with a DECT2080 base unit - LCD Color options (nothing fancy, just something different than the other handsets) - NiMH 650mAh battery (BT-1011) - Beltclip - Headset jackThings I don't like: - LCD Backlight is always on when on charging base - Phone is asleep when you first try to dial a number -- Most phones you just grab and start dialing.with this one, you have to hit a button first then dial - Keypad takes a little adjustment period with the extra row at bottom - Battery uses a different plug style than other Uniden handsetsI am not sure if it is the phones or my TMobile@Home, but I had to manually set the clocks on each handset. I don't remember doing this on the original handsets, but I had a regular POTS line back then and just don't remember. Overall this is a far "nicer" looking phone than any of the other Uniden handsets.
I bought this phone as an additional set for use with a Uniden DECT3080-3 Answering System/Combo. I'm very happy with the productand would buy another. Please see my review on that system for moredetailed info.Oh yes, don't forget to charge the battery completely before using it.
We purchased the additional handset to add to the existing Uniden phone. We love the intercom feature and use it alot. The phone is easy to use, clear and has features we like.
It was easy to install once I found out that it can be off the charging handset and that the pound sign on the handset must be held down rather than the pound sign on the main phone. The directions in the manual for our main phone were not very good.
My Uniden dcx300 was a perfect addition to my home office, very stylish, compatable w/ my 2 other Uniden dect 6.0 phones in other rooms.Great clarity & easy to use.Amazon.com you did it again--your'e a real asset to my shopping needs.
